WITH GOD
ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE

I was first exposed to sheep when the county Ag agent called to see if my children wanted to raise a lamb for their  4-H project.  Of course they did! That was nearly 20 years ago, and if I had only known what an adventure it would be - well I wouldn't change a thing.  My son spent the next 15 years actively involved with the 4-H program, Block & Bridle, and AGR fraternity.  His degree is in Ag. Business.  My daughter was active from the time she was four years old, until graduating high school.  Her interests have turned to health care (humans) and she will finish her degree in Exercise Science soon.  They both gained valuable life lessons from their time in 4-H.  I gained a flock of Finnsheep and quite a bit of shepherding skill.

My Fiber Art Career began a bit out of sequence.  I learned to weave from my "Aunt Bill' in 1983. (See the loom story). I taught myself to spin after we got the sheep, in 1992.  I finally put it all together in my garage studio in 1995 and began with local craft shows and demonstrations.  I had already been hosting spinning and shearing demos in "Field Trips to the Farm" at our farm.  A huge answer to my prayer came in 1997 when we were able to purchase a small house for a "real studio".  It was the house where I learned to weave! Now I could teach in a warm, cozy spot!

As those of you who have been to my shop will agree, there's a spirit of warmth, creativity and love in that shop!
